Blue Angel Care COVID-19 Statement
Blue Angel Care is monitoring the ongoing changes in relation to COVID-19. We are reviewing and adapting our methods of delivering care and support to the clients and have taken the necessary steps in line with government guidance. Additionally, we are well equipped and prepared in case there is an outbreak of the virus at our premises
We continue to work closely with our partners, the NHS and UK health authorities to ensure safety of our customers and staff. We are strictly adhering to all guidelines and suggestions from Healthcare authorities to ensure high-quality home care whilst protecting staff and clients.
Guidance during coronavirus
Currently, a new, more easily transmissible strain of the coronavirus has been identified in the UK. This means that coronavirus cases continue to rise and we need to take necessary precautions to avoid catching the virus.
We have shared communication with staff on how to keep safe during coronavirus. The article details different steps you can take to protect yourself and also answers questions like ‘should I work during the pandemic?’. Read our article to find more information about the tips we have suggested.
Support from Blue Angel Care during Covid-19
We have taken the following, necessary steps in line with the government’s guidance:
- Personal Protective Equipment for all carers has been supplied.
- Sanitizer for all field workers and hand sanitizer dispensers at all our office locations in Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey have been installed.
- Notices regarding compulsory face masks and social distancing have been displayed at our office sites.
- We regularly disinfect all equipment used for care and office supplies.
- We are constantly communicating with our staff to ensure they aren’t showing any signs of covid-19.
- Special measures are outlined in our Business Plan to respond to situations of an outbreak within our organization.
- All offices have been risk assessed as detailed by the government in their government HSE guidelines.
- Prepared packs for our Care Givers which contain essential protective items such as aprons, gloves, overshoes, soaps, masks and sanitisers.
- We are looking at our business continuity plan to ensure that we can provide care to those who need it most, especially in the event of Care Givers becoming unwell or needing to self-isolate and other emergencies.
- Informed all our Care Givers to use protective items at all times. Please do not hesitate to inform the Care Givers should they forget to use protective items.
